Sluggish Mouse Movement in VMWare Virtual Machine

If mouse movement is sluggish or kind of laggy in your virtual machine, even after installing VMWare tools, the following procedure could possibly fix it.

In the virtual machine, right-click the desktop and go to Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot
Move the Hardware Acceleration slider all the way to full.

How to copy/paste text into a virtual machine through a Remote Desktop

Copy/Pasting text from your own local machine to a virtual machine through a remote desktop will not work directly.
A simple workaround to this is to first paste to a Notepad instance running on the remote desktop machine and then from there into the virtual machine.
